Military Intercom Helmet Plug

Post by dnvldw14874 » Sat Mar 05, 2011 4:05 pm

I am thinking of purchasing a U.S. Military flight helmet. I noticed that the plug for the intercom from the helmet is different than the plug out of my radio on my 82 GL1100A. Is there anyone out there that may be able to help me make such a helmet useable?

Make sure the microphone in the helmet intercom uses a dynamic microphone, not a condenser. If it's a condenser mic, you'll need a preamp/bias circuit to make it work with the mic circuit in the Goldwing intercom.
