right switch box

Postby wbetheajr » Mon Sep 14, 2009 2:06 pm

I am replacing the right switch box and I was wondering if there is a short cut to getting the throttle cables loose at the switch box instead of going all the way to the carbs? And if I have to go to the carbs what is the quickest way to get there? I am almost ready to ride again.

No short cut, sorry. :)

The cables are camlocked into the plastic twist grip, there's no way to remove them while they are still fastened:

That said, removing the cable from the throttle end is not that big a job, and with a little bit of dexterity, can be done without pulling much apart: How to replace your throttle cables
