main fuses

does anyone know where the main fuses are on a 82 gl1100?

The MAIN fuse is under a cover attached to the starter solenoid.I replaced it with a waterproof fuse holder and a auto type fuse.The rest of the fuses are under the front lid of the false tank,under the tool tray.If it's a faring model with the radio and such,there are fuses behind the left turn-signal.

The main fuses are very prone to cracking and failing (It's very difficult to see they have cracked!) hence it's a common mod to fit a different fuse in parallel to the original on leads to isolate some of the vibration (as virgilmobil has done).

Hey, thank you guys for your help. Replaced the blown fuse and she fired right up.
