Tachometer cable

Postby jgagen » Wed May 04, 2011 2:28 pm

My tachometer cable either needs to be lubed or replaced...do I have to remove the fuel pump
to disconnect it from the end opposite the tach itself ?

I am a newbie, but have just done this.
If you remove the upper bolt on the fuel pump the cable pulls out. You will need to realign the slots when you replace it.
If it was that easy everyone would be doing it!

Very nice. Any reason why you removed the fairing mirrors in favor of handlebar mounted ones? Don't they hit the windshield during sharp, slow turns?

Actually they don't.
It came with them but I am going to put the fairing mirrors on as these do not give a good view.
And it was a CD 350 I had not a cb.
