You may want to check the valve adjustment to be safe but if it is just a tick and not very loud??? probably nothing to worry about.

Just this week I noticed that It starts well when cold but when hot it has trouble starting, like the battery has no charge. But when it cools down again it starts fine.

This the start of a new problem or the end of one I had not yet discovered?

Commonly caused by a starter in need of a rebuild.

My '83 Aspy is a bit cold blooded also. Unfortunately she spent most of last summer in the shop getting carbs, brakes, etc. done after sitting for 10 years(from PO). Got a chance to get it out Friday and ride about 150 miles getting new skins put on. What a sweet ride. Looking forward to several hundred miles over Memorial Day. Oh yeah, once warmed up there is no problem with restarting, but I think I have a problem with a ground wire somewhere.

If outside temp is below 50 degrees my 1983 will not even want to turn over!
