82 Aspencade compressor

Postby leanjoe » Wed May 18, 2011 6:29 pm

Does anyone have a picture of how the original wiring looks from the fuse box to the compressor. Someone has been in there before me and left couple scotchloks and black tapefor me to repair. My schematic is so small, plus it shows a pink common wire inside the fuse box that is not on the manual diagram. I either have no power to it or I'm blowing 30amp fuse. Ticking me off !! Also, rear shocks wont pump up anymore,I removed the air line and oil came out, seals gone ? Thanks :x

The positive lead on the compressor connects to the unfused side of the "park" circuit fuse - the compressor's lead has a 15 amp fuse built into it. However, I found this to be a pain in the butt, because the bike has to be shut off and put into "P" in order to operate the compressor. I instead hooked it up to the ACC terminal, that way I can run the compressor in "ACC" or "ON" (with the engine running). Your preference.
