Aspencade shocks

Postby leanjoe » Wed Jun 01, 2011 5:18 pm

While replacing the seals I see that there is no spring clip in the guide bushing. Will this cause a leak ? What is the purpose of the spring clip ? Neither shock had much oil in it,and the other side had the spring clip,so I dont know if that was a cause or not. I dont want to order another one if I dont have to. I waited a week and a half ,just for the seals. Thanks

Here's a pix of the fork breakdown. If your referring to the snap ring,It's used to hold the seal in place.Under enough air pressure and nose diving the seal could be popped out of the seat.
