Where can I get a water pump and the appropriate gaskets and seals for my 1982 gl1100?

I bought my water pump from an online Honda parts dealer - I'd recommend you use an actual OEM Honda one, not an aftermarket one. I've heard from several people who had bad experiences with early failures of aftermarket water pumps. The part number you want is 19200-MG9-681.

I used this kit which includes all of the O-rings and gaskets you will need.

Thank you for the info. I hope not to have to do the pump, just the gaskets.

Keep in mind it's very finicky about the gaskets - get one twisted or not seated exactly right, and it will leak. Lubricate them up well with vaseline before you reinsert the pump into the housing to make sure they go in just right.

Also, it's normal for it to leak a little bit of coolant for the first couple of hours of operation after they've been replaced, as the O-rings get seated in - usually a few drops when it's first started up cold.

It's really not that difficult a job, just time consuming, because of all the cleaning and setup involved. If you haven't gone over it yet, you will want to have a look at this:
