I have an 1982 Goldwing Aspencade bike-when i bought the bike the guy told me it had 83 wheels on it-do i have to buy brakes for an 82 or 83 or is there a difference-Thanks

There's a very big difference between 82 and 83 brakes. 83 brakes introduced split brakes (pedal worked one front disc, and rear disc, lever worked other front disc), and as such the calipers are completely different. My guess is that they just bolted 82 rotors onto the 83 wheels and left the rest of the brake system as it was, but you'll want to check the calipers on it just to be sure.
