can't get the starter back in.....

Postby DCoxson1969 » Wed Jun 22, 2011 8:15 am

Ok, I had the issue with the inside of the starter and took care of that. Starter is ready to go back in. I have tried for four days now and can't get the starter to go in. I have the bike on the side stand, but it does not seen that the gear inside lines up. I have tried tilting the bike more, and packing the inside with grease to try to line up the gear but nothing has worked. Ready to throw the thing in the pond...lol can someone help me with this problem?
