After much pain and aggravation I have realized that the bike sold to me as a 1982 is a 1981. I have discovered my final drive and rear rim are junk. (Need to use a hammer on the prick who said this was his daily driver last year!) I have located a drive and rim from a 82. Will this work? Will I have to change anything else to make it work? I am starting to realize why I have heard of goldwings being refered to as "honda davidsons"!

I have an '81 and when I changed the rear tire last month I used the wheel and drive from the '80 (being that the tire was still good) parts bike that I have with no problems. I think that the '80 -'82 are the same. Not sure about the '79 or '83 if they will inter change also.
