hello everybody;

I saw somewhere on this website where somebody but an altenator on a 82 1100bike. Where did I see it?

Well first off, you only waited 12 hours, and secondly, you posted your message in the wrong area. I've moved it to the 1100 area, where you might get more answers.

I had a look, I didn't find any reference to an alternator install on an 1100, but I did find a reference to the 1200:

I know where there is some information on the interweb where some people have installed an alternator on the 1100, but I don't believe I want to answer a question for someone who is that rude.

Here you'll find a bunch of people talking about the alternator on a Gl1100. There's talk about a kit being built that would be for sale, but they didn't get it ready to sell. There is a lot of information as well as pictures on there, with diagrams of pulleys and such:
