ok i have a chance to upgrade my front calipers from the single piston to the twin. Is it just a bolt on matter or will i have to get new rotors?

82brakes should bolt straight on 83 brakes will not work due to the linked brakes and one of the front brakes being smaller than the other

I see the question was on a 1981 and the answer is no. You need to change the rotors and also the caliper mounts. Be careful and stay with one model. Don't mix and match Interstate with Aspercade. I changed mine out and used Interstate rotors and calipers. Go with new stainless lines while you are at it. I also rebuilt all the parts and also changed the front master to a 1982 model too. Good luck. Simple change out for me.
