Still going to leave soon

Postby HadCancer » Thu Sep 01, 2011 9:06 am

If anybody remembers me I finally sold my stripped 80 & 82 Goldwings for 500.00. For some reason no one want to but the brand new still in the box drivers seat back on e-bay. I finally put it up with no min. price and no reserve. High bid on the darn thing is .01. If anyone is interested it is at: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/_W0QQcmd ... ESELXQ3aIT

I sure would like to get mot the 1 cent. I bet the postage I listed will cost me more the I asked for also.
I will be putting up the custom paint and paint gun I bout also soon.

Thanks a lot. I was afraid it would go for 1 cent. I think I put the link in the add where I bought it for 167.00 plus shipping and that was the cheapest backrest I could find. I bought one for my 2010 Nomad and it was only about 100.00.

Durn. Those things are so dang expensive. Thinking I may just make my own. The over all construction doesn't seem too difficult.

If you have the tools, I think you could, But the price of steel is going up. A 20' length of channel steel cost 38.00 last year now they want 72.00

I hardly ever bid on anything on ebay anymore, but for the guys that put a good price on something as Buy it Now on ebay, those are the guys I buy stuff from.. I would suggest doing that because I think it's less hassel, I could be wrong.....Good luck with your sales

Well it sold, which I expected with No reserve and no price. I think it was someone from this group. They got a super deal for 34.33 for a part that cost me 164.00 plus shipping. Anyway I am off to the post office tomorrow to send it off. I guessed on the postage, and if it is anything like the helmet I sold I underestimated that also. Now all I have left is the custom paint and spray gun which is all new and unopened. I need to tape label back on one can as the glue failed, but other than that all new with double the amount of clear needed to paint a Goldwing. I am not sure if I will put up on e-bay because all I have had is bad experiences there.

Thanks,I did win the auction bid but really didn't intend to,I was trying to run the price up as far as I could to get you the most money. If E-Bay doesn't suit you, then maybe a local Craigs list?

I hope it works good for you. I got one for my Vulcan 1700. My bike has 528 miles on it. I think I will put some miles on it today and take it in for it's 600 mile service. I will have them put the backrest on for me. Thank God, with it broken in finally I can use the cruise control.
