Float Needle?

Postby izzy08_03 » Thu Oct 06, 2011 11:09 am

I need a float valve needle and was wondering where is the best place to get one? Also what is the part number for the float valve needle for my 83 GL1100 interstate?

I am alittle scare to buy ones i have found online at different websites, but i have also read a bunch of "tech-tips" on Randakks.com about after market float valve needles being a bad buy.

From (personal experience) I wouldn't buy anything but OEM float valves. Trouble is you have to buy a set. Includes valve, seat, strainer and o-ring. Very Pricey though. $40. per set. But if you only need one??

Only need one. The one i have the little metal clip wont stay on because it looks to me like someone filed the groove ,the clip sets, in off. But what kind of experience did you have? And thanks for the part # and the link.
