bolt tightening

In the How-To article about replacing a water pump instruction #130 calls for the engine cover bolts to be tightened to 9 ft-lbs. These are very small bolts and I was wandering if if it should be inch-lbs instead of ft-lbs.

No, it's definitely ft-lbs. Keep in mind the bolts holding the water pump cover in place are 7 ft-lbs, not 9.
