heel and toe shifter

Postby daaaon » Sun Nov 13, 2011 9:04 pm

Recently inherited a GL1100 and found heel and toe shifter jerry rigged with plastic tie and electrical tape. If I take off heel and toe bracket and add rubber to shifter will this work ok?

Or should I replace the whole assembly?

If it's a Markland unit, and has floorboards, you'll have to either replace the heel/toe shifter assembly, or remove the floorboards, replace them with footpegs and add rubber to the shifter. You can't use a stock shifter with the floorboards.
