fuel leak

i am to buy a 1982 goldwing 1100 and see it has a leak of fuel down the right muffler on the bottom and has gas pooling at end of same side muffler. what/can I fix cheaply?

It could be a stuck carburetor float. Does it occur if the fuel petcock is turned off? Does it only happen after it's been run?

You should dry things out and then watch to see where the fuel is actually coming from.

sounds like..bad float setting, bad float needle, bad float needle seat or all three. But could also be leaking o ring or main plenum gasket. If you pull the carbs and bench test them easy to easy whats goign on. ON the bike you can pull the air box and look in should be able to see the source of the leak out of a carb or two or from a seam.

thanks for input...I am in corpus christi and am buying this bike in san antonio and must find a local s.a. reputable/dependable repair shop that i can get the bike to to get it fixed a.s.a.p.

any answers?
