Different radiators sizes.

Post by SAILOR » Sat Mar 17, 2012 12:32 am

I just bought a second 1984 Goldwing. Now I have an Aspencade and an Interstate. The Aspencade and Interstate seem to have different radiator sizes. Meaning the radiator cap on the Aspencade is smaller in diameter then the one on the Interstate. This seems weird. Did these two bikes some with different radiators?

Look up the part number and see if they are the same. I would think so. Is the fitting diffrent or just the cap? Maybe an after market cap.
Enjoy the ride. They are all good, just some better than others.

The 84' wing is divided into early and late year... Early '84s use the same radiator as the late 1100's and have the larger neck diameter which causes no end of problems when trying to replace the cap. See here http://www.goldwingfacts.com/forums/vie ... tant+%2784

Old and one legged, but the '84 Wing isn't what it used to be either.
