87aspy moody, but still love it

seems like everytime I get one thing fixed, another problem accures. Good thing I am retired, and some what work on it myself, even though I get fusstrated and want to pitch a fit, never got it fixed before! The other day while riding, a friend informed me that my headlight was out, checked fuse, checked bulb, started up and the light was on again. But, while going down the road, light went out again. Found it to be starter button contacts burned, repaired, and worked good for a short while again. Anyway, after searching ebay, and refuseing to pay $75. with no garuntee, I found one in Fla. for 10 dollars. Now, sounds like rear wheel bearings or something is clicking. Going to remove rear wheel, replace wheel bearings, change rear dope, and moly-lube gears..........and ride another 100,000 miles I hope.

What you are doing is normal.I dare you to find any 25 year old bike that dosen't need a bit of touching to keep it prefect.Even my 06 car has electrical problems.
