rectifier getting hot

rectifier getting hot

i changed the stator and the rectifier but the rectifier is still getting hot.so hot til the plug on rectifier melts can somebody help me out

Hello and welcome to the forum.
Most people will remove the plastic plug and hardwire the three yellow wires.
Solder them and shrink tube them.

It is normal for the rectifier to get hot that is why it does have cooling fins.

Like the man said, remove both plugs concerning the three yellow wires and solder or top quality crimps & heat shrink.

A volt meter and modify the black wire going to the rectifier so that it is reading the true voltage from the battery
