Help - Electrical Plug

Postby rdraidr » Sat May 05, 2012 4:49 pm

I have one last plug, that I can't figure out what it goes to. It's a three prong plug (female) with a Black/Brown, Black/yellow, and Green/Black wire. The plug is an in-line type and is positioned close to the coils with a break out near the Kill Sensor (also a three-wire) wire set. Any thoughts? I've traced the wiring diagram and can't get the three colors to hit the same item.

Thanks in advance.

Wingman, Sorry. That would help; It's a 1987 Aspencade.

I think it's the speed sensor:

Is the connector itself black?

You know, sometimes I'm a little dense. When I found this bike, it was in rough shape, so I've spent a lot of time completely redoing it (kind of my hobby). One item that was missing, but the previous owner had purchased new and it's still in the "bag", was the speedo cable. I've yet to put it on. I'll bet you're right. Thanks so much.
