gl1200 need help

i changed my starter relay i forgot to unhook battery cables the hot and starter wire touch and i have no power to nothing.i changed the battery and a fuse still nothing im at a lost here i can't find the dog bone don't know what to do

Sorry to hear of your problem. The dogbone fuse is on the right side of your battery unless it has been replace with a blade type fuse holder. If you do a search in the search box at the top of the page on dogbone fuse there should be some picks and posts on it. If you still have the dogbone fuse it would be a good idea to change it over to the blade type as fuses are easy to find if your out riding and blow one. Good Luck Hal

The dog bone fuse is located under a cover attached to the starter relay.You'll need to unplug the 4 wire plug to get the cover open.There usually is a spare fuse in there.
However,I'm vague on what happened.What wire touched where?About the only way to blow the main fuse is to short the main power wire (red one) to ground.
