Air rear long?

Postby JohnCJK » Wed May 16, 2012 10:19 am

How long does it take to get 5 or 6 bars air pressure in the rear shocks?
I got a 1200A 1985 and had it stripped down for a rebuild.

I am almost done, but just seem not be able to get the air presuure in the rear shocks.

Without pressure i had 2 bars.
I added air in short intervals and got to 3 bars fairly fast.
To get to 4 bars did take much longer, but i got there and the air pressure holds >> no leaks.
Now getting to 5 or 6 bars seems to take forever, i am just not getting there.

So, my question, how long does it take to get to 5 bars from 4 bars?
Is there an alternatve way to pump air in? extarnal air compressor?

My front air pressure is 2 bars or zero and i do not need any pressure there since i installed progressive springs.
