1986 Aspencade lower fairing change

Postby jwlj » Sat Jun 09, 2012 7:01 pm

I have recently purchased a 1986 Aspencade with only 19,000 miles ,(yes really). Was wondering if you can put the lower fairings from an '85 Limited edition ( the ones with the driving lights ) onto the '86 Aspencade ? Just by looking I don't really see a problem .

Thanks, Jimmy

There shouldn't be too much of an issue, I did the same to my 84 GL1200A. I did it to cover up my timing belt covers, they weren't looking to hot. The 85ltd had vents that came out down below your kneecaps when sitting on the bike. I purchased the entire lower fairing with the vents and vent ductwork and had it on in a few minutes. Now I just need to find the driving lights, the fairing I bought still had the blanks in it.
