87 octane is fine. Not much difference in performance going to higher octane unless the motor is designed to run on the higher octanes. Go with what the manual recommends. I stick with 87 in my 1200 Aspy.

I run 85 octane according to the service manuel 93 octane but it will run on lower the computer convensates for it .My ltd runs on 85 octane with no problem but have noticed I stopped and bought gas in Macon Ga a few weeks and noticed the old girl was struggling to get 40 miles per gallon and before it was getting 43 to 46 and I was running back up I-75 from Perry Georgia but when I stopped to get gas in Macon it just didn't have the milage I got when I bought it close to the house.
