R. Master Cylinder 1984 1200 same as 1100? 84 Aspencade 1200

I have a sticking rear caliper. Should I assume the master cylinder needs to be done too?

I have the rear caliper apart and the pistons sure were tough to slide back in with a clamp and the bleed valve out.

I plan to get a rebuild kit and clean and buff the pistons. I suppose I know how to reassemble and bleed FIRST in order to pump those pistons out right?

I see the rebuild kit for the caliper on PartsnMore for the 1985 Aspencade 1200, but I do NOT see a master cylinder rebuild kit for the 1984 Aspencade 1200.

Many times the master is OK and the foot lever is rusted on the pivot.
Decouple the lever and check it's operation first.
It's spring loaded and should move without binding and snap up easily.
If not, remove the split pin, washer and wiggle it off, clean the rust and moly grease it up.
As far as compatibility...I don't think they are the same.I seem to remember that the fittings were different, although adapters can be had for a conversion.$$$
