85 Interstate - stereo replacement question

Post by Yosemite Sam » Sun Jul 01, 2012 4:43 am

Hi all, got my wing a few months ago and almost have it ready. It's been sitting 4yrs untouched and doesn't have a stereo, can anyone point me in the direction of one that won't break the bank? I also need new speakers (front) and covers.

Can't wait to get it on the road, I've been missing all this excellent riding weather!

He does a two-parter on adding a marine radio with a wired remote to a saddle bag. Careful when you buy one though. If it comes with a wireless remote it's infrared and no good for your bike. Make sure you get one of the two Dual (brand) radios with a wired remote that can be mounted on your handlebar.

He wires it into the speaker wires after the on-bike pre-amp as the radio has it's own amplifier and you can then use the bike speakers.
