Do you know anyone else who owns a 1200. Sometimes another key from a different bike will work.

put motor un centre stand
front wheel in line with the motor.
grap a firm and reasonbly long screwdriver flat head.
place 1 hand underneath the radio-dash unit

you will feel an opening underneath the radio-dash lining
the metal you feel is the bottom halve of the radio.
push the screw driver gently inbetween the smal gap with the flathead flat on te bottom of te radio.
push towards the front wheel.
if you feel some resistance it is the latsch that holds the radio in its place it has a hook on the left and right side of the radio.
by pushing the latsch down you wil releasde the radio.
wiggel radio while pushing screwdriver down and the radio wil come free...
don't push to far down and don't use to much force you only nee 1,5inch (3cm) of inserting te screwdriver en the hooks need no more than 8mm to 10mm of pushing down to release them..

good luck

(english is not my native language so i hope it's understandeble)
