timing belt

i have a 86 gl1200 and it has 48000 miles on it and im not sure if the timing belt has been replaced should i go out and have this done now or wait til 100,000 miles

I got a pair form Napa for less than $50.It took 2 hours to put them on.
Cheap insurance for a $5000 bike.If one breaks,the bike is worth $200 for parts.

Change them now!! if they are the original belts they have been on there since 1986, just my 2 cents but I would change them.Better safe then sorry. Hal
