Suspension issues

Postby Tcorcoran » Fri Sep 07, 2012 7:49 pm

My wife and I just picked up a 86 GL 1200I .We have rode 2 up on it about 6 times . Tonight it seems to be searching around on the road . Feels like it is in the rear end .like the front and back aren' t tracking the same . Also the suspension seems to be bottoming out . Any info would be greatly appreciated. This the first big bike I have owned. .thanks Tim :D

Riding two up have you checked you tire pressure, and your rear shock pressure? Sounds like your back tire is a little low,and this could be causing your problem. Just my 2 cents. Hal

If your riding two up and at 38 pounds thats to low, should be around 40 to 41 pounds. The air shocks are ok as they are just goinig to help with the bonce. I like to run the shocks a little higher due to the load of two up. Add some air to your rear tire and see if that helps. Hal
