I accidentally released the spring in the left front shock. How do I get it back in?

First thing is to block the engine to take off any pressure on the front wheel.

If your a light person, you may need a helper.

It sounds like you have never been there (front springs) before.

You might as well do a change in the fork oil while your there.

Drain and refill with ATF. (Automatic Transmission Fluid)

ATF Capacity (after draining): 323 cc (10.9 oz)

I usually get the wife to help push down using a 12" extension and a socket and ratchet if the forks are on the bike.

I think now (getting weaker) I would need to find a heavy helper :)
