Whitish Smoke

I have 1984 Apencade goldwing 1200...When 1st started whitish smoke from exhaust and then disappears, if I shut it off and restart smokes again for a few...ALSO coolant level has went down some...WHAT do you think?...Head Gaskets???...Thanx guys...

White smoke usually means water (Blue smoke is oil). I would be borrowing some compression gauges and checking the cylinders before changing a head gasket, I suspect it will be a head gasket, but it's always worth checking first, plus gauges will let you know if it's the left or right hand side gasket that needs to be changed..
