so i am rebuilding my water pump

Post by mainline-coffee » Tue Jan 29, 2013 5:37 pm

i am rebuilding my waterpump and i was wondering if anyone here has done it on a 84 interstate before,i have reserched so much that i am starting to get a headache. went to the boat last weekend and won 300 bucks on slots and blackjack so i figure i better get my act togather and fix it now. i belive the seals have gone out from age wear and automotive coolant,do i just need a rebuild kit or a new pump? can i just make my own gaskets? i have hopped through other fourms and got a bit of info but never a straight awnser so any help would be wonderful.
