Thought it would be a good idea to give my bike a tune-up before the new season starts...bought all new plugs and wires and new ends too. Did the left side first wires only and tried to start it and it kinda runs but back fires like crazy!! Haven't done the plugs but did check to see if I had spark on the left, and I do...not sure if I have pushed the wire far or hard enough into the coil?? I only did one wire at a time...so NO I didn't get them mixed up. Any help would be greatly apppreciated!!

I would look at the connections to make sure they are secure, if all the wires seem to be connected correctly, I would start by doing a carb sync. You would would be amazed by how much a carb sync smooths out the engine. I asked the mechanic at my local Honda dealer about syncing the carbs before I replaced my sparkplugs. He told me that almost anything you do during a tune up will afect the sync of the carbs and I would have to do it agian after the plug change. I would start with this if everything else seems right. Good luck!
