Timing Question

Postby rjlv25 » Wed Jul 03, 2013 5:34 pm

I just finished rebuilding the carbs with Randakk's kit, but now it doesn't seem to want to idle and sometimes I hear like a hesitation and a popping sound when running around 2500RPM cold. I changed the timing belts and triple checked the marks. Is there something else that might cause this? Also replaced fuel filter and several fuel hoses.

Also discovered that #2 exhaust is still lukewarm after startup. Definitely good spark. Checked primary circuit at the coils. Checked resistors in the spark plug caps. All within spec. Maybe a compression check is the next step?
