Ride Height

Is there a standard method of lowering the ride height on a '87 GL1200 Interstate?
Thought of getting a set of progressive rate (shorter) rear springs and/or lowered aftermarket seat but haven't found any.

Probably the easiest way is to cut down the seat yourself - there are quite a few web sites describing the process, and you can gain two or three inches this way.
