Running lights For 1984 Interstate GL1200

Postby nama » Wed Apr 21, 2010 9:07 am

Can anyone tell me if I can add running lights to my 1984 interstate GL1200. From what I was reading I should be careful on the amount of load I put on the stator . If I can install running lights ,what wattage should I use.

Thanks Dave

I don't know what your bike can tolorate in terms of electrical load, but you could look at fitting LED lights, they draw about half the power of a conventional bulb but cost a bit more.. :)

Have a look through this thread. With the change to LED brake lights, you can easily run a set of 35 watt driving lights like I do.
