1987 GL1200 Aspencade Speedometer Wrong

Post by bdfd1220 » Thu Jul 11, 2013 6:29 pm

Hey, does anyone know if there is a fix for the speedometer reading too fast? My 87' Aspencade reads about 6 MPH higher than what you are really doing at 73 MPH! which means I'm usually going too slow for traffic. That really sucks as these drivers about run you over when you are dinking around like that. Thanks, Jeff

Nope. All 4 of my other wings were a little off.
I just "go with the flow" most of the time and best guess on the back roads where it's not important.
If its that important, use a cheap GPS for speed.

My 86 sei is 3 miles off, think quality control was out sick when they designed these
