mystery bolt

Postby chaunceymudrat » Sat Sep 07, 2013 4:10 pm

i'm new here. I have an 87 interstate and I have this bolt that fell off when I pulled in the shop.
It fell off of the right side close to the center. I recently replaced the fork seals and had the forks off. Can't see any thing missing on the front end. Please help, this will bug me to death. It's an m8x1.25. Thanks for all replies.

That looks like a seat bolt to me. Take a peek just under the lip, either side of the seat. Bracket with a horizontally slotted hole, right and left side.
