GL1200A Rear Wheel Removal

when i took off my tire i had a spring show up and im not sure where it came from any help would be nice

Can you post a picture of it? That would be the simplest, easiest way for us to identify it.

I just did my rear tire Sat and the only place that there is a spring is on the drive shaft. there is one on the end of the drive shaft held in by a clip and another if you take the shaft out of the rear hub. these were the only 2 place that I can remember there being a spring.
Hope that you have better luck than I did in getting the shafte by in, it took me about a hour to get the shaft to go back in.
