timing belt

Needing to ask a question for a buddy of mine that has a 1200. He is wanting to change the timing belts on a bike he just got, does anyone know the part numbers for replacing them?

Do a search on the forum, these belts can be cross referenced to automotive #'s. I just bought some from my parts store for $12. a piece. Honda wants $90. a set, sounds like a no-brainer, huh? I believe for GL1200's: the Gates T070, or NAPA 250070 will work.

too many more to list..................

Here is what I have on Timing Belts.

Timing Belts (2 each)
NAPA – 250070
Gates – 5043 or T070 (avaiable thru most NAPA & Carquest stores)
Goodyear – 40070
Dayco 95070

I just put a set of Gates T070 on my Wing. Bought thru a auto parts store.
Enjoy the ride. They are all good, just some better than others.

I used the Dayco 95070 a couple of weeks ago, worked perfect!
