What's the problem with your shocks now - are they leaking down? Perhaps you might want to consider just rebuilding the shocks you have, which would undoubtably be cheaper than replacing them.

Here is a great thread (with pictures) on rebuilding GL1200 shocks.

You can get a replacement from Honda for $40....or this, which I found online:

In the process of changing the tires and lubing the drive splines, I noticed the right rear shock boot was toast. Called to the two local Honda dealers and neither had the $40 boot in stock. Not wanting to wait, I tried Advanced Auto to see if they had an automotive boot that would approximate the Honda boot. I found the Monroe Shock-Mate Boot Kit SA1997 to be a good fit. I had to cut about 3" off the top and zip-tie it in place. They come in virtually every color, even "Hot Pink" (SA-1995) if you're so inclined. All for only $6.49!

Has anyone put air pressure gauges on the air shocks yet? My shocks bleed down just a little bit over the course of two days, and i was trying to figure out a way to have "onboard" air pressure readings.

My 87 Aspencade has a readout in the LCD display, it toggles between temp/fuel and air pressure in the suspension front/rear. at least I think it does..for sure it shows the pressure.not 100% on which other function it shares...i only saw it once before I started the tear down.... :)
