Replacement Grips

Post by golden highway » Sun Dec 22, 2013 9:58 am

I want to replace the grips on my 1200 to something a little larger in diameter and wanted opinions. I was looking at the Kuryakyn ISO grips and ones with leather covering. I am open to all options except the foam, for some reason i tend to squeeze them tighter causing hand fatigue.

I bought a set of the ISO grips for my 1500 for the same reason as you, but I didn't like them, so I sold them shortly after.
I ended up buying a set of Grab On foam grip covers that slip on over the stock OEM grips and love the slightly larger diameter and comfortable feel.

If you look in the DIY section for the 1200, (I think it would do for any) there is a section for Hand Grip repair. I am planning on doing this when I need them and I would think it would be easy to make them just about any size that you wanted. You could use whatever texture, color, and size that you wanted and bring back the true meaning of the term "custom".
