rear brakelight short

rear brakelight short

im looking for an intermitent short,i keep blowing the fuse for the signal,brake,and horn,i think it blows when i apply rear brake .doesnt blow every time more often when passanger on looked under seat,wiring going to trunk and right saddlebag need to check leftside yet .anybody have any ideas?

You're looking in the right places - the short is definitely somewhere between your brake pedal switch and the back end of the bike. Just follow the wires and check for chafing.

Also keep a eye out for any add on wiring for shorts..eg,trailer plug or add on brake lamps.
