    hello i just had new rubber installed on the rear of my 86 aspencade and i can not get the right shock compressed to get it back in the mounting postion any ideas would greatly help thanks

    Instead of compressing the shock, put the bike on the center stand, and let the swingarm fall downwards, so that the shock can be bolted into place.
