Manuals

Postby Chuckm43 » Thu Feb 20, 2014 11:13 pm

I am looking for a parts manual for my GL1200 Aspencade and have downloaded the manual "Honda Goldwing GL1000,1100,1200 Parts reference-72800.zip from this site and find that the listing for the GL-1200 has ONLY the even numbered pages in it!

Is there a copy out there that is complete?

Thanks,

Chuckm

I suspect you are looking for a cheaper source but you can possibly get the parts manual from Helm the supplier of Honda Manuals. Their website is: http://www.helminc.com

They should have the manual or be able to print it!

Is this the one you need: http://www.helminc.com/helm/product2.as ... itemtype=N

You can also use online parts vendors, who have a full parts fiche available for your bike:

Thanks for the info, I will take a look at them. I just was wondering who had gone to all the trouble to copy only the even pages !!

On another note, I went out to run up the Bike on Wednesday and found that the window in the Front Brake Master Cylinder was leaking ! Is there a fix for this or do I need to find another complete cylinder?? The plastic it is made out of had De-lamented and leaks like a sieve ! :D

Thanks,

Chuck

This is a fairly common failure for the GL1200's. The common fix for this is to remove the window, clean the master cylinder out well (use brake cleaner), apply some J-B Weld around the edge of the hole, and press a dime into the hole. This will permanently seal the hole and stop the leak, but it obviously won't function as a sight glass anymore.

Part way down this page:

http://www.goldwingworld.com/pages/Downloads.htm

is a parts manual for the GL1200. It seems to be complete.
