back fire in air filter

back firing in air filter while bike is reaching operating temp. while accelerating . seems to be ok after bike is at nomal temp.

If it's backfiring it's lean.Are you trying to drive away with a cold engine and no choke?These things are really cold blooded,so if you want to avoid this I wood suggest warming it up first.
If I'da known it would last this long,I'da taken better care of it.

i will let it warm up to a couple bars on the temp guage but seems to have to be at full temp before it is ok

There is a mod to the needle to help enrich the fuel mix for the mid range sputter.1200-3000 rpm range.The needle is lifted by a washer about 0.010".
If this is your trouble area.
