OEM look Braided Fuel lines

Post by Old Fogey » Sun Mar 09, 2014 3:18 pm

This is really an update on an old post.

As many of you will already know, I do a OEM look black braided fuel line kit for the 1000/1100

I have had a 1200 version going for some time but forgot to tell you guys. These cover the 84, 85 and also the 86 with the 5.5mm fuel lines. They are not be suitable for the late 86 or the 87 with 8mm fuel lines, nor the SE-i injected model.

Both kits have been recently upgraded with stainless steel pipe clamps. The lines are sized to work with Randakk's cleanable alloy fuel filter, although they can easily be altered to use the standard filter if required.

Randakk tells me that this size of piping (which also works with the standard wire clips, though why should you want to do that?) is difficult to source in the States

I also do a kit of air / vacuum tubes for the 1000 carbs. If you are overhauling your carbs, you really should replace the old ones.

Does anyone think that there a need for a kit for the 1200 carb air lines?
Having never run one, I need 1200 owners to come forward with their opinions, please. Some of the lines on these are moulded into curves and corners so they may not be too easy to reproduce.

'Impossible' is just a level of difficulty! The only stupid question is the one you didn't ask first!

( Seriously, you haven't read all 115 pages of my http://www.wingovations.com website ?? )
