How in the heck do I attach the cable end to the fuel pump housing. Have the new seal. Am I missing an O ring or screw? Help!

The inner most bolt that holds the housing to the head passed through the groove in the tach cable and holds it in place. I just replaced mine on my 83 Interstate - not the most fun I've ever had. You need to snake it past the fuel lines, and you probably won't be able to see what you're doing. I think the tach cable was the first piece of the bike down the assembly line.
